- Which state/municipal agencies
and departments would benefit from using geographic call routing with a
toll-free 800 number?
- Any agency or department that has two or more physical locations and
desires to connect callers directly to a specific location without going
through a call center or manual locator service.
- State agencies now using geographic call routing in various states are:

- Qwest GeoPlus™ integrates advanced geographic telephone call routing
capabilities with GIS digital mapping technology to produce an
intelligent TOLL-FREE (800-888-877-866) network that automatically
connects callers to your organization’s desired office, based on the caller’s
geographic location.
- Qwest GeoPlus™ is a package of two integrated services:
- SmartGEOrouting™: The routing of
toll-free telephone calls to various offices based on the caller’s
geographic origin.
- SmartWEBreporting™: Web-based
reporting that allows management to view call counts and call detail of
all traffic on Qwest GeoPlus™ networks.

- SmartGEOrouting™ -
- The foundation of Qwest GeoPlus™ networks is geographic call routing of
toll-free (800/888/877/866) telephone numbers. Callers dialing your toll-free number
are directly connected to your office locations according to your
specific mapping requirements. SmartGEOrouting™ is composed of two key
elements: SmartGEOmapping™ and GEOnetQC™.
- SmartGEOmapping™ is the designing and implementing of your network
based on your specific requirements.
- GEOnetQC™ is the constant monitoring and updating of your network to
ensure continued performance as telephone network changes and
boundaries change.
|
|
5
|
- SmartGEOmapping™ –
- Callers can be routed to your nearest office location (most popular
method), or by any other boundaries (county, zip code, roads, etc.).
|
|
6
|
- SmartAutoMapping™ will send a calling party to your nearest office
location based on the caller’s geographic origination.
- You supply the street address and telephone number of each location on
the network, and Qwest® builds, implements, and maintains the network.
|
|
7
|
- SmartCountyMapping™ will send a calling party to your desired office
location as defined by your specified county boundaries, based on the
caller’s geographic origination.
|
|
8
|
- SmartZipMapping™ will send a calling party to your desired office
location as defined by customer specified zip code boundaries, based on
the caller’s geographic origination.

- GEOnetQC™(GEOnet Quality Control) is a unique service that automatically
maintains the accuracy of your Qwest GeoPlus™ network.
- Thousands of new Area Codes and Prefixes are added every month to the
NANP (North American Numbering Plan), while the USPS (United States
Postal Service) adds and modifies numerous Zip Codes. As these changes become effective,
Qwest® periodically updates your Qwest GeoPlus™ network to assure 100%
accuracy of the geographic call routing.
- New Area Codes (both splits and overlays) are automatically added to
Qwest GeoPlus™ networks to ensure continual service.
- The customer is NOT required to provide any data for normal network
updating to occur. Personnel
previously dedicated to maintaining NPA/NXX assignment lists with the
carrier are freed up to perform other tasks.

after-hour business calls routing to a Extended Service Area (ESA)
office that is dedicated to this phone call activity.
- % Allocation: Can be used when
two or more offices want calls evenly distributed within their combined
Caller Response Zone.

- SmartWEBreporting™ -
- Qwest® offers customizable reporting options of your Qwest GeoPlus™
network that may be viewed and exported directly over the web via
Internet browser.
|
|
15
|
- SmartWEBreporting™ is web-based reporting of your toll-free network over
the Internet.
- Options include hourly, daily, weekly and monthly call counts, as well
as call detail reports.
- Reports can be selected/sorted by:

one toll-free number - track effectiveness of one advertising media vs.
another)

calls to each office on your network)
- Any combination of reporting that you may desire.
- Reports are highly customizable, including name and address of the
caller.
- Custom export formats can be designed for interfacing with your media
