- Qwest GeoPlus™ integrates advanced geographic telephone call routing
capabilities with GIS digital mapping technology to produce an

connects callers to your organization’s desired office, based on the caller’s
geographic location.
- Qwest GeoPlus™ is a package of three integrated services:
- SmartGEOrouting™: The routing of
toll-free telephone calls to various offices based on the caller’s
geographic origin.
- SmartGISnet™: A web-based tool
that allows viewing and management of a Qwest GeoPlus™ network in a
map-like environment.

|
- SmartGEOrouting™ -
- The foundation of Qwest GeoPlus™ networks is geographic call routing of
toll-free (800/888/877/866) telephone numbers. Callers dialing your toll-free number
are directly connected to your store/business according to your specific
mapping requirements. SmartGEOrouting™ is composed of two key elements:
SmartGEOmapping™ and GEOnetQC™.
- SmartGEOmapping™ is the designing and implementing of your network
based on your specific requirements.
- GEOnetQC™ is the constant monitoring and updating of your network to
ensure continued performance as telephone network changes and
boundaries change.
|
|
5
|
- SmartGEOmapping™ –
- Callers can be routed to your nearest store/business location (most
popular method), or by any other boundaries (county, zip code, roads,
etc.).
|
|
6
|
- SmartAutoMapping™ will send a calling party to your nearest
store/business location based on the caller’s geographic origination.
- You supply the street address and telephone number of each
store/business location on the network, and Qwest® builds, implements,
and maintains the network.
|
|
7
|
- SmartAutoMapping+PLUS™ GEOrouting will send a calling party to your
nearest store/business location within a specified radial distance,
based on the caller’s geographic origination.
- Calls from outside the radius are routed to the Extended Service Area
(ESA) business location.
|
|
8
|
- SmartAutoMapping+PLUS™ GEOrouting will send a calling party to your
nearest store/business location within a specified radial distance,
based on the caller’s geographic origination.
- Calls from outside the radius are routed to the nearest specified ESA
business location. (Multiple ESAs
are possible – the starred locations are also ESA locations)
|
|
9
|
- Custom SmartAutoMapping™ will send a calling party to your nearest
store/business location based on the call origination and dependent upon
the customer specified boundaries.
|
|
10
|
- SmartCountyMapping™ will send a calling party to your desired
store/business location as defined by your specified county boundaries,
based on the caller’s geographic origination.
|
|
11
|
- SmartZipMapping™ will send a calling party to your desired business
location as defined by customer specified zip code boundaries, based on
the caller’s geographic origination.
|
|
12
|
- Any of the methods can be combined to produce custom mapped Caller
Response Zones.
- In addition, SmartGEOrouting™ can be combined in any way with other QWEST®
Communications enhanced features:
- TOD(Time Of Day) and DOW(Day Of Week): An example of this would include
after-hour business calls routing to a Extended Service Area (ESA)
office that is dedicated to this phone call activity.
- % Allocation: Can be used when
two or more stores/businesses want calls evenly distributed within
their combined Caller Response Zone.
|
|
13
|
- GEOnetQC™(GEOnet Quality Control) is a unique service that automatically
maintains the accuracy of your Qwest GeoPlus™ network.
- Thousands of new Area Codes and Prefixes are added every month to the
NANP (North American Numbering Plan), while the USPS (United States
Postal Service) adds and modifies numerous Zip Codes. As these changes become effective,
Qwest® periodically updates your Qwest GeoPlus™ network to assure 100%
accuracy of the geographic call routing.
- New Area Codes (both splits and overlays) are automatically added to
Qwest GeoPlus™ networks to ensure continual service.
|
|
14
|
- SmartWEBreporting™ -
- Qwest® offers customizable reporting options of your Qwest GeoPlus™
network that may be viewed and exported directly over the web via
Internet browser.
|
|
15
|
- SmartWEBreporting™ is web-based reporting of your toll-free network over
the Internet.
- Options include hourly, daily, weekly and monthly call counts, as well
as call detail reports.
- Reports can be selected/sorted by:
- Toll-free number: (If more than
one toll-free number - track effectiveness of one advertising media vs.
another)
- Location: (To show breakout of
calls to each store/business on your network)
- Market: (groupings of stores in
a market area)
- Any combination of reporting that you may desire.
- Reports are highly customizable, including name and address of the
caller.
- Custom export formats can be designed for interfacing with your media
effectiveness tracking systems. (Excel, Word, text are among the
standard export formats)
|
|
16
|
- SmartGISnet™ (Web-based Management) –
- This web-based management tool allows you to interactively access your
Qwest GeoPlus™ network for display, query, and analysis via web browser.
|
|
17
|
- If you require advanced management capabilities of your Qwest GeoPlus™
network, a web-based interface allows browsing of the routing plan in a
map-like environment.
- Users of the web-based mapping system can perform a variety of
functions, including:
- Printing and exporting of maps showing customer Caller Response Zone
boundaries.
- New store placement analysis
- Assignment of trade areas for franchises or stores
- The sites can be customized to allow interactive editing and reporting
of map layers, such as:
